SCADpro is a collaborative innovation studio run entirely by select students to generate business solutions for some of the world's most influential brands. BlackRock collaborated with SCADpro to redesign the experience of investing money for institutional consultants. As project manager, I led a team of 5 UX/UI designers and 6 other designers, developed and oversaw the scope of work, and designed the BlackRock One user interface system.

Based on in-depth research and user-testing, my team created a digital system to streamline operations for BlackRock representatives and consultants. We also created an educational box, and digital assistant called BlackRock Assist to build trust and support system users. The SCADpro team consisted of 11 students across 5 disciplines, and 5 countries.

The digital system is called BlackRock One, and provides one place for consultants and BlackRock employees to interact. This completely streamlines everyday processes for both parties, resulting in a great experience. The BlackRock One app allows for relevant information on the go, allowing necessary parties to check in on their work without being at their workstation.

The digital assistant is called BlackRock Assist, because it assists employees in their daily activity. The automated data library BlackRock Assist runs off allows for automated processes and computer prediction, again streamlining daily activities of BlackRock representatives and the consultants they work with.

Finally, the educational box helps consultants get a feel for the new system, and establishes trust that has traditionally been built in face to face interactions. With a fully digital system, it's really difficult to built trust when it's essential. A physical box provides a physical presence, and is very helpful in the transition to a completely digital system.

As a project manager, a lot of responsibility regarding the timing of the project fell on my shoulders. I was required to make sure everyone knew what they had to do, and when they had to do it. This is where Gantt charts came in handy. I created a Gantt chart for the overarching project, breaking down each individual's responsibilities, as well as a Gantt chart specific for the UX team.
